Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Oncology assignment requiring EPIC experience and Level 1 Trauma background.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in an Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00PM to 7:30AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Care for oncology patients, including administering chemotherapy and biotherapy both within and outside the unit
• Assists with bone marrow aspirations at the bedside
• Uses EPIC EMR system; prior experience required
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted
• Perform comprehensive assessments, medication administration, IV starts, dressing changes, foley and NG tube insertion, and port access
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in line with unit standards
• Participate in ongoing evaluation and adaptation of patient care plans
• Provide emotional support to patients and families
• Expected to support the team and offer constructive feedback to peers
• Dress code includes specified scrubs for the oncology unit
• Request for time off (RTO) not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment
• Contingent workers may not remain for more than one year without a 6-month break before returning

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing, temporary license accepted
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience
• Documented Level 1 Trauma facility experience required
• Experience with EPIC charting required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
